Open Access Statement

European Journal of Media and Digital Communication Studies (EJMDCS) is a fully open access, peer-reviewed academic journal. All content is made freely available online to readers immediately upon publication, without subscription charges, registration requirements, or access fees.

Immediate and Free Access

EJMDCS provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. There are no embargo periods.

Authors retain full copyright of their work. By submitting and publishing in EJMDCS, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and agree to distribute their work under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Repository Policy

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit the published version (Version of Record) of their article in institutional repositories, subject repositories, or personal websites immediately upon publication, with full bibliographic citation and DOI link to the journal website.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

EJMDCS clearly states its Article Processing Charge (APC) policy on its website. Any applicable fees, waivers, or exemptions are transparently described. There are no submission fees unless explicitly stated.

Peer Review and Editorial Quality

Open access does not affect the journals editorial standards. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journals scope.

Ethical Standards

EJMDCS adheres to the principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and promotes transparency, research integrity, and editorial independence.
